Although I continue to love The Longsword Chronicles

Although I continue to love The Longsword Chronicles, and will undoubted follow it to its' conclusion, I really struggled with this book. While I absolutely devoured the previous books, it took me about 2 weeks to get through the first 1/3 of this one. It's just....well, it's boring. I'd find myself putting the book down to go do other random things, simply because it WAS so easy to put down. I felt as if way to much time was spent on the main character's internal monologue and there was virtually no plot movement. So much so that my husband, who has often stayed up to the wee hours of the morning reading the previous books, still has not read it, even though we purchased it weeks ago.
Once you get past the initial internal debate, the book picks up and is enjoyable to read. It lacks the intensity of the other quests that the characters have been through, but, as always, the dialogue and character interaction is always enjoyable to me (and it must be to you as well, or you probably wouldn't be on Book 7! :))

I feel like I'm there. One of the best I have ever read. Complicated and unique. If you like sword and sorcery this series is for you.
