Excellent book

I lost my mother 21 months ago to Pancreatic cancer. I began googling things to see how other motherless daughters cope with their losses, because I felt like my world was ending and I was all alone. I stumbled upon Jenna's first book "Life goes on" I read al little about it and purchased it. After it came in the mail I read it and after turning each page I'm saying to myself "yes, I feel the same exact way" (crying of course). Than I stumbled upon Jenna's blogs and it went from there. I found her on facebook and sent her a friend request. This women speaks for all of us motherless daughters. She took the words right out of my mouth every time. I just received Jenna's second book " life still goes on " and as expected I couldn't get past the introduction with out crying. This time I felt like she was writing about my mom. I guess our mothers were a lot alike and that's a awesome thing. I have recommended Jenna's books to several of my motherless daughter friends and they will be purchasing Jenna's books. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has suffered a loss of a loved one espically women who've lost their mothers. Jenna showed me that life truly does go on and it goes on with our mothers within our hearts and by our side always in spirt.

Fantastic job Jenna! You are proof positive life DOES go on. Such wonderful advice for those searching for a way to survive after your heart has been ripped from your chest. I am also enjoying your journey with your Gran. I have a feeling you two were the reason each survived. Gina would be so proud, of showing your precious Gran the laughter. And I myself believe your precious Mom is holding that precious bundle for you till the perfect time... all of those questions will be answered. You, my friend are amazing!

The Yokai Watch takeover of America continues!

This series is great! Easy to read for both children and adults. These Yokai monsters are awesome! And don't worry, they aren't replacing Pokemon. Both series will continue on together.

My son loves Yo-Kai Watch. Wal-mart sells them a tad cheaper, I got the first two books at Wal-Mart, but couldn't wait for the 3rd one as it is my sons Easter present. Came very fast in the mail. Very happy with this purchase

About the Author

Dr. Michelle Anthony, an expert in developmental psychology, is mother to three young children, two girls and a boy. She is a certified K-3 teacher and president and cofounder of Wide-Eyed Learning, a company devoted to facilitating communication and learning between parents and children. She is also a columnist for Scholastic's Parent and Child magazine. Dr. Anthony holds a B.A. in Education from Brown University, an M.A. in child studies from Tufts University, and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Centennial, Colorado.

Dr. Reyna Lindert, also an expert in developmental psychology, is mother to three young children, two girls and a boy. She is a certified parent educator and vice president and cofounder of Wide-Eyed Learning. She holds a B.S. in human development and family studies from Cornell University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in developmental psychology from University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Beaverton, Oregon.

Amazing book

This is more than I could have expected. Such an amazing reference. I am only 4/5 of the way through and it has hugely helped my daughter and I tackle a hard to navigate social situation at school. I had mentioned it to her 2nd grade teacher and the school was going to buy a copy as a reference, but I loved it so much I just bought 3 more copies- for her school, her cousin, and 1 to loan out to friends as this one is too helpful to let it leave the house! Very well written with activities and discussion points for children and teachers as well.

GREAT TEACHER RESOURCE

Although this book appeared to be geared towards parents, it provided numerous "teacher tips" that appear to be extremely beneficial for dealing with bullying among girls in the classroom. I also see many of the techniques contributing to the creation of a positive, supportive environment for all students, both male and female.

Stretching is healthy and natural: animals do it all the time. Stretching can alter consciousness by releasing tension in both the body and the mind. Laughlin, who teaches at the Australian National University Sports Union, has developed a comprehensive stretching program that combines basic warm-ups and yoga-type postures performed solo and with a partner to stretch virtually every muscle in the body. Excellent

Not only an excellent book on stretching but an even better template on what a "how to" guide should include: photographs (from different angles), thorough explanations, without filler. It includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced in one volume, rather than "spreading" them across three or four books. That, to me, demonstrates a great deal of integrity on the authors' part. There are partner exercises as well as individual exercises for each muscle group. I would place Stuart McRobert's Insider's Guide to Weight Training in the same category. Solid, user friendly, and thorough work.

Kit Laughlin has produced the best stretching book ever. From a clear and understandable discussion about stretching through a well layed out structure and progression of stretches for your entire body. Wonderful.

Good book

Excellent book with challenging stretchs. Only one problem, the book had so many stretchs that you would have to have a while to get all of them done. Good for anyone who wants to increase flexibilty.
