The story is nice, short but nice

Drama is everywhere! This is the real story about an author and her model cover.
Sawyer sees Caleb at the gym and decides to approach him with a deal: to be the model of her next book cover. He accepts and they start their professional relationship.
Sawyer is not happy with her life at home, she feels the lack of love from her boyfriend and with the moves Caleb is making on her she feels confused. Liam, her boyfriend is spending too much time at work, not giving her the attention they both need and when he breaks a promise she decides that it's over!

The Blurb interested me and the story is nice, short but nice. I couldn't relate the title of the book with the story itself tho. I hope we will get more of these characters, as I feel there's more about them, but since the #2 book of the series is about Liam I'm not so sure.

I wonder what's up with authors finishing their books at 64% of the file and dump there 36% of all their other books... if you intended to write a short story just make it like it is, so the reader gets what's expected. I really don't like the word "deceived" but that's somehow how I've been feeling lately...

A fun read about models and authors and those that love them.

We start off this book with an author at a photoshoot, sitting behind a computer, watching proofs of a model she found come up on the screen as the photographer takes the photos. What reaction does the author have in regards to watching these images come up? When the shoot is done, why does the author not notice that they are finished? What is she doing? When the model, Caleb follows her after the shoot, what happens? Liam is her boyfriend of over a year. He works late, cancels on dates with her all the time. What is he thinking and feeling? What is Sawyer thinking and feeling? I know how I would feel if my boyfriend seemed more interested in work than being home with me or going out with me. I can imagine the pain and loneliness she is feeling. Caleb tries to tell her certain things from the first time he works for/with her. What things does he tell her? Is he right or wrong about those things? When Liam tells Sawyer he will come to an after party from a book signing, and he doesn't show up yet again, or contact her until over 30 minutes after he was supposed to be there, what does Sawyer do? Who finds her? What happens? You're going to have to read and find out. It was a fun read.

5 AMAZINGLY HOT STARS!!

Good lord Behind the Computer was absolutely AMAZING!! HOME RUN F.L. Jacob HOME RUN!!

This book was unlike any book I've read before but have been craving! Behind the Computer was a quick fun, HOT read that I didn't want to end.

Sawyer James is a best-selling indie author who just so happens to run into Caleb at the gym. As soon as she sees him she know that she HAS to have him as her cover model for her next book.

Little does Sawyer know that the chemistry with Caleb will be OFF the charts. However there is a little issue, Liam, Sawyer's long-term live in workaholic boyfriend.

Can Sawyer and Caleb deny the attraction and the jealousy when Caleb is contracted to work with other indie authors?

I will say if you're looking for a quick hot read and a story that has not been told before then Behind the Computer will be right up your alley. You will not be disappointed!

Pros and Cons

Cons: Many grammatical and spelling errors. The book would benefit from a thorough proof read and revision. Some of the terminology used does not match the PMBOK 5th edition. For example: The book references 'administrative PMO' - this is not a type of PMO. There are several other misleading terms throughout this book. I would recommend reading the PMBOK and completing the required course work before using this book as a supplemental reference.

Pros: I purchased this book after I completed my required course work. I found this book to have excellent, well explained examples. The book is well organized. The examples and terminology breakdown makes complex concepts much more digestible.

Do Not Buy this Book. Information is inaccurate.

This book has inaccurate information in it. If you study this book in preparation for your PMP exam, you will learn the wrong information.I have been studying multiple books including the PMBOK 5 and this Dummies book should be taken off the market immediately. The Dummies book also includes incorrect words so the QA is not good. I was able to overlook some incorrect words but decided to toss my book when an answer to an exam question was incorrect. One question was about a type of PMO but the answer to that particular question was an "administrative PMO" according to the book's answer sheet. There is no such thing as an "administrative PMO". PMOs are Supporting, Controlling, and Directive. "Administrative" is not even a type of PMO. Do not buy this book folks. It's hard telling how much other information is incorrect. If I hadn't written in my book, I would ask for a refund. My book is sitting in my trash can right now.

Great way to ease into a tough subject matter?

Gives a lot of examples instead of just stating factoids. I need to put things into context and this books tells you how to remember all the processes and knowledge areas. Then i studied the PEMBOK guide book and it was a lot easier.

Surveys Difficult Terrain Very Well

Vierhaus, a well-known German historian, entered a minefield for historians with this intelligent introductory book. He has to account for "Germany" when none really existed, he uses the term "absolutism" when it also may have not existed, and he sought to find commonalities among the various Germanies while also telling the story of Prussia's rise to prominence. He pulls it off.

In chapters surveying such topics as the economy, society, cultural life and the world of ideas, Vierhaus presents a thematic history of about 150 years in central Europe. Pietism and cameralism, two German distinctives, receive treatment. So do the estate system and the various socioeconomic classes of the early modern period. The author manages to outline the estates and classes while at the same time allowing for changes to this very corporatism, seen in his discussion, for example, of the rising nonnoble government officials, who did not fit the traditional order.

On the issue of absolutism, Vierhaus argues for a strong central authority and an influential process of social disciplining, but he tempers it slightly by suggesting that agreement between estates and power groups, instead of open conflict, was the norm.

It is recommended as a textbook for upper-division students and is in paperback, albeit at a high price.

A great book, by a great scholar

A French scholar in Middle Eastern studies, I had the pleasure to discover the incredible talent of Prof. Bernard Rougier as soon as in 2004, when he first published "Le Jihad au quotidien" ("Everyday Jihad" in English, published with Harvard University Press). I was amazed then by the quality of his fieldwork, of his analysis and the relevance of his conclusions for a deep, solid understanding of Sunni jihadism in the Levant. Rougier, a perfect arabic-speaking scholar who got his PhD in political science at the very prestigious university of Sciences Po in Paris, had spent years in Lebanon in Palestinian camps, courageously interviewing jihadists that no other person of the profession would ever dare to approach.

When I heard Rougier published a second book a few years later, I was enthusiastic and skeptical at the same time. Would he be able to do as well as with the first book? I have to admit it. He did even better. "The Sunni Tragedy" shall remain Rougier's life masterpiece. No wonder the great John Waterbury wrote such an enthusiastic review of the book in Foreign Affairs. A thorough and complete presentation of the whole Sunni jihadist networks spreading from northern Lebanon to the rest of the region, a clever modelization of the pillars of contemporary jihadism, the book shows clearly that Rougier remains the one and only real expert of the various groups involved, the reference anyone interested in the subject cannot do without.

Best Diving Book I've ever read. "Silent World" was amazing, but the writing is much better and the stories much more absorbing in Cousteau's "The Living Sea".

Cousteau's The Living Sea - GREAT!

This is, literally, one of the best books I've ever read. Beautifully written, full of adventure and information. Takes you back to the early days of the Calypso, and details the invention of underwater photography, archaeology, oil prospecting, bathyscaphe diving... the goodies just keep coming. A great world tour of the oceans both above and below, told through the words of oceanographers who are as much poets as scientists.

About the Author
JANET BEER is Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Humanities, Law and Social Science at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She has lectured and published extensively on late nineteenth/early twentieth century American women's writing, and is currently working on a book, in collaboration with Avril Horner, on the figure of the older woman in Edith Wharton's fiction (to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2006). Her other publications include Special Relationships: Anglo-American Affinities and Antagonisms, 1854-1936 (co-edited with Bridget Bennett, 2002), American Feminism: Key Source Documents,1848-1920 (editor, 2002), and Edith Wharton (2001).
