For those of a certain make

Lilith's Harem is hard book to review. It's the type of work that can be the holy grail of dimensional shifting for one reader and absolute nonsense to another. Much like everything else this author does it's pretty much an all-or-nothing offering, either you're in the know-how and have the necessary baggage to tag along or the work simply gives the impression this writer lost his marbles early in life. Faustus Crow makes zero compromise in favor of his image, something I wish more writers had the balls to do.

Those that are magically inclined and have followed Faustus Crow on his blogs might have thought "this is all very interesting but what does it really accomplish?". Lilith's Harem answers that question with powerful intent. Through clever manipulation of conscious and unconscious symbols, the shared collective consciousness and an affinity with the divine feminine current Faustus manages to shift from one all-inclusive reality to another. In doing so the author finds a alternative-world version of himself through which he attempts to solve a universal imbalance and, lest we forget, has a pretty good time doing so.

I would highly recommend this book to people experienced with lucid dreaming, out of body experiences, Castaneda-esque sorcery and more western forms of magick such as evocation or invocation. Faustus Crow - while never taking you by the hand or explaining overly much - gives a impressive detailing on connecting with alternative selves and inter-dimensional manifestations of cosmic currents, through which the author discovers how "As above, so Below - As within, so without" means the same concepts manifest on all levels of creation.

If you always wanted to have a real succubi experience, are curious just what the much discussed Lilith and divine feminine are about or want to improve your shots at controlled lucid dreaming this book can't be missed. I'm giving this five stars with that specific audience in mind.

About the Author

James B. Campbell is Professor of Geography at Virginia Tech, where he teaches remote sensing, quantitative methods, and geomorphology. He has worked closely with students and faculty in related fields such as forestry, geology, agronomy, environmental sciences, and planning. Since 1997 he has served as Codirector of Virginia Tech’s Center for Environmental Applications of Remote Sensing (CEARS). The author of numerous technical articles and several books, Dr. Campbell has received the Outstanding Service Award and the Fellow Award of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He is also a recipient of the Outstanding Service Medal awarded by the Remote Sensing Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers. Dr. Campbell has been active in the AmericaView Program, including service as a principal investigator for the VirginiaView consortium and as a member and chair of the AmericaView Board of Directors. � Randolph H. Wynne is Professor in the Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation Department at Virginia Tech. He also serves as Remote Sensing Team Leader for the Forest Productivity Cooperative, Associate Director of the Conservation Management Institute, and Codirector of CEARS. He teaches courses in forest photogrammetry and spatial data processing and remote sensing of natural resources. Dr. Wynne’s research interests are in the applications of remote sensing to forestry, natural resource management, ecology, ecosystem services, and earth system science.

Comprehensive and readable

Organization and writing style of this text are both excellent. Campbell's explanations of technical details are understandable and complete. Readers should know this is an "all about" book and not a "how to" book with a limited discussion of software used in remote sensing applications.

Solid book that covers the basics for remote sensing students

This book covers all of the basics as well as some advanced material so I'd highly recommend it for any student serious about remote sensing. The diagrams/pics were very helpful and it was a great supplement to my lecture.

Simply the best!

The information in this publication brings a depth and breadth of knowledge unsurpassed. It will elevate any [GEOINT] analysts' level of understanding and knowledge of the world of Remote Sensing, to include GI&S. I highly recommend purchasing this book and making it the center of your analytical trade craft references and professional readings. I rented the book, but will be purchasing it for my library - it is that good.

A fairly good cookbook for the basics, but not a keeper for me. I already know how to scramble, poach, soft-boil, and hard-boil an egg. I know how to make omelets and egg salad sandwiches. I was hoping for more variety. More ideas beyond the basics.

Plus, I bought this in Kindle and would have preferred a linked index or something to permit me to find recipes faster. As it is, I have to scroll through each chapter to locate the actual recipes, and that means working past a lot of information and photos that don't interest me because they pertain to raising chickens or the author's family anecdotes. It's just irrelevant. (Unless you are interested in raising your own chickens.) Some of the recipes call for raw eggs, which the author explains that you can safely eat if you're raising your own chickens, but that puts those recipes off-limits to those of us still buying grocery-store eggs.

So, if you are looking for lots of creative, beyond-the-basics recipes for grocery-store eggs, and you don't want any extraneous content to get in your way, this book might not match up with your needs. On the other hand, it's well-written. If you buy this book in paperback so you can flip through it fast to the recipes, or if you are considering raising chickens for the first time, and you don't have any experience with that or with cooking eggs, you'll probably love this book. It gives lots of chicken raising facts, and gives you a feel for the homesteading culture. The recipes, though basic, are sound and will give you a good running start.

I'm searching for non-food ideas for eggs, since I'm getting more than we can use, and this book didn't provide that. However, I actually read it through like a novel -- it's very informative, entertaining, and clearly well-researched. Recipes were obviously tested out before being included. Wondered why there weren't pictures of some of the more unique dishes, so one could tell what they were aiming to produce before attempting to produce it, but otherwise, it's a great book for those who want to enjoy chickens and their products!

What a swell book!! As a new chicken keeper AND an ardent cook AND a person who enjoys a good read AND a photographer, all I can say is: "WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE???" Honestly, this book goes down a treat on every level. I bought it on a whim and I am so glad I did. I loved sharing passages with my sweetie, and we'll all enjoy the interesting recipes. Do buy it in print so you can enjoy the photos. Charming!
